Thrifty Tuesday: DIY Teepees

Teepees are making a strong appearance in children's spaces these days.
I think they are so adorable and kids just love them.

If you are looking at purchasing a children's teepee, then you can buy this adorable striped teepee from Land of Nod, or this chevron teepee from Teepees by Clemmie Sue. Unfortunately each of these will run you more than $100.00.

Lucky for us, the internet is packed full of affordable DIY teepees.
If you head on over to A Cup of Jo, you can find the tutorial for this adorable lace teepee.
Total cost $15.00!

Or head over here to see how you can make your own striped teepee out of a dress!
Pretty amazing!

Or if you want to mix things up a little, you could make this darling A-frame tent!
The fabric possibilities for this tent are endless!

I'm pretty sure every kid would love to hang out in one of these, don't you agree?!
And the best part, they are pretty to look at...my favorite kind of toy.

So if you have $20.00 burning a hole in your pocket, i'd say give it a whirl!

  1. I love this idea. Bower Power did a great one as well. A great hideout for kids.

  3. Wonderful tips! I can finally put a voice to a face. :) Can I ask where the "dream big little one" teepees is from?
