The October/November issue of Adore Home is out.
Black and white with splashes of yellow seems to be a common theme.
I love how dramatic this room is.
I have been lusting after that bookcase for a while now.
It is styled so beautifully.
Luckily Home Decorators sells it for $399.00
I'd say that is bargain for such a great piece.
I think I need to save my pennies...

I have been searching for while shelving that is 'open' on the ends to put ip against my gray walls, this is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of black, white and yellow and have tons of photos saved to my desktop of it. I can't wait until we upgrade to a larger home and I can try the scheme in my home office!
ReplyDeleteI love that first bedroom and that bookcase. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI loved both of these spaces so much, and thought the same thing about that bookcase, love the cheaper option!

I just started reading your blog and I LOVE IT! Your design style is impeccable. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is something you'd be interested in, but I'm a huge DIY-er (mostly because of budget). If you wanted, you could probably get a bookcase from IKEA or find one on Craigslist, draw a pattern on the side, and then use a jigsaw to cut out the pattern.
Oh my gosh I just LOVE the first picture of the bedroom! I want it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe lamps in the first image are so WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'll take the headboard, lamps & bookcase, please! :)

ReplyDeleteAww, thanks for the kind words on the Cameo office I did. We needed a tall bookcase to showcase her clients wares, and this was the perfect one. Glad you agree!

ReplyDeleteModern interior decorating today is more inviting and warm, with a very functional feel to it. In case you haven't seen much about interior design and decorating lately, you need to know that it has come a very long way in recent years. The same could be said about the interior decorating styles that are out there, such as traditional or modern. In the past, if you were to choose to decorate your home in a traditional style, or cozy cottage type of home, you would find yourself surrounded by lace, ruffles and heavily flowered fabrics. A traditionally decorated home would typically be dark, with heavy furniture. Conversely, not so long ago, having a modern decorated room meant that you would be faced with an almost sterile space that seemed cold and unwelcoming.
