The Desk

I have been obsessed with this vignette for a while now.
I love the color combination, the royal blue and pink makes melt me.

When I found this desk I knew it would be perfect in a yummy blue.

3 coats later and the desk was transformed.
It did take me 3 days though since the rustoleum protective enamel paint requires 24 hours between coats.
Oil based paint is also such a pain to clean up, but the shiny lacquered finish on the desk is definitely worth it.

I stole the hardware from my DIY Rast side table.
I love them.  Looks like I need to order more.

Now it's time to get working on my DIY art project.
Not going to lie, kinda nervous for that one!

  2. Oh beautiful! I love blue right now too, especially more on the bright peacock blue side of things. I redid a dresser as a tv cabinet/console a few months ago in a similar shade of blue and I love it!

  4. This looks awesome! I'm always so intimidated by oil based paint or maybe I'm just impatient and don't want to wait for it to dry... ;) Looks like the end result is worth it though!

  15. Do you use a spray paint or a brush? Do you ever spray paint on your deck...and if so how do you keep your railing paint free?
