I have been obsessed with this vignette for a while now.
I love the color combination, the royal blue and pink makes melt me.
When I found this desk I knew it would be perfect in a yummy blue.
3 coats later and the desk was transformed.
It did take me 3 days though since the rustoleum protective enamel paint requires 24 hours between coats.
Oil based paint is also such a pain to clean up, but the shiny lacquered finish on the desk is definitely worth it.
I stole the hardware from my DIY Rast side table.
I love them. Looks like I need to order more.
Now it's time to get working on my DIY art project.
Not going to lie, kinda nervous for that one!

I'm in love with your desk! Also love the hardware.
ReplyDeletelooks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful! I love blue right now too, especially more on the bright peacock blue side of things. I redid a dresser as a tv cabinet/console a few months ago in a similar shade of blue and I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun blue! Looks great, Danielle:)
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I'm always so intimidated by oil based paint or maybe I'm just impatient and don't want to wait for it to dry... ;) Looks like the end result is worth it though!
ReplyDeleteSeriously amazing!!! Would you mind possibly sharing the name?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Patience

ReplyDeleteYep, that's pretty much perfect. So, thumbs-up on the paint? Did you need to put a protective cover on it or not needed?
